Child Deepfake Incident Map

AI-generated nudes, or "deepfake nudes," is a form of sexual exploitation where perpetrators create synthetic nude images or videos of victims. Recent research shows that millions of high schoolers in the U.S. know about explicit AI-generated images circulating at school, yet fewer than twenty incidents have been documented by news outlets. We built this incident map for victims to anonymously share their stories and motivate change while preserving their privacy. Our work was inspired by a similar effort in South Korea where 500+ cases of abuse were discovered and documented across the country.
